Overview
An introduction to the job opportunities within the circular economy. The module will review opportunities across different circular economy activities such as refurbishment, remanufacturing, recovery, reuse, and recycling. This module will also introduce the skills and experience needed to get a job or start a business within the circular economy. These include work experience, on-the-job training and design and technology skills.
The objectives of this module are:
- To build understanding of different types of jobs and skills needed in the circular economy.
- To review growth opportunities across circular economy activities such as refurbishment, remanufacturing, recovery, reuse, and recycling.
- To introduce the skills and training needed for work opportunities within the circular economy (for example: work experience, on-the-job training and design and technology skills.)
This module is for those with a basic understanding of sustainability and want to learn how they can become economically active in the circular economy; and for job seekers wanting to start businesses or work for businesses in the circular economy, and who want to understand how to develop the skills to do this.
Delivery
Delivered by a range of local organisations across Kent; Brighton & Hove; Essex and Peterborough, either face-to-face or online.
