Schools in Brighton & Hove will explore different parts of the circular economy. There will be activities and workshops on five themes. Local experts will share their knowledge and work with the Sussex Wildlife Trust.
Each workshop will explore waste in more detail. Pupils and students will then be able to use their knowledge in a school project. They will also be able to showcase their work.
The five themes are:
- Re-using technology by disassembly
- Clothing and textiles
- Food waste
- Single use plastics and packaging
Activities will include visits to:
- The Waste House at the University of Brighton
- A sewing workshop
- Queen’s Road Community Kitchen
- The Green Centre
