The Sustainable Business & Communities Team at Kent County Council (KCC) relaunched its Environmental Champions Network. The group helped to drive environmental initiatives across the county.
Network members acted as ambassadors for their specialist areas. They were also responsible for:
- Promoting good environmental practice
- Attending environmental training
- Updating the network on environmental initiatives
- Supporting green campaigns in their area
- Developing and learn together
- Sharing and absorbing expertise from peers
- Providing fact myth-busters and advice
- Signposting to local and regional initiatives
