Collective composting consists of composting certain organic waste or kitchen and garden biowaste from collective housing or commercial buildings in a communal composter to make into a natural fertiliser.



Potential circular economy impact

This solution results in the production of a natural soil conditioner, the reduction of pollution associated with the collection and transport of waste, and also reduces odours in the rubbish bins.

Implementation: Purchase of collective compost bins; raise public awareness of using and maintaining containers; inform the stakeholders involved about the waste stocks of raw materials.
