Description

Payote, in collaboration with the initiative SEAQUAL, uses plastic packaging waste collected from the Mediterranean Sea. Which is then manufactured into a high-quality yarn that forms the fibre of its fabrics. The fabric is then used to produce a collection of recycles shoes.

Potential circular economy impact

This solution removes plastic from the environment and transforms it into useful material. This means that the material used for some of the shoes produced by Payote comes from non-virgin material. This reduces the need to extract resources.
