Description

Half of all seafood caught in UK is thrown away, this includes Salmon skins. This company strives to reduce this food waste and turns it into snacks that are high protein and packed with omega 3.

Location

Maryport, Cumbria, UK.

Potential circular economy impact

The organisation believes in healthy snacks that are good for individuals as well as the planet. There is a lot of waste generated from throwing away fish skins. The company wanted to repurpose these skins, transforming them into a treat that can be enjoyed, rather than going to waste.
